Our services encompass a wide range of mental health concerns and intellectual or developmental disability, including anxiety, depression, trauma, autism, and other developmental disorders.

Our Approach

We offer compassionate and personalized counseling services as well as other outpatient services for both adults and children.
Our approach is tailored to meet the needs of individuals from minority backgrounds, with a focus on breaking down the barriers that often prevent access to mental health care. With years of experience working with intellectual or developmental disability children, we provide specialized support services to help families navigate their unique challenges.
Our goal is to empower both the child and their caregivers to thrive. We are committed to spreading awareness about mental health and intellectual or developmental disability in the community. We organize workshops, support groups, and outreach programs to educate and empower.
To bring awareness, provide support, and bridge the gap in mental health and intellectual or developmental disability(IDD) resources for Houston & the surrounding areas.

At YOUR SAFE PLACE LLC services are tailored to the unique needs of each client. Our services encompass a wide range of mental health concerns and intellectual or developmental disability, including anxiety, depression, trauma, autism, and other developmental disorders.
Home and Community-Based Services
Adult Mental Health

Initial eligibility requirements:
• Primary diagnosis of serious mental illness.
• Age 18 years or older.
• Income below 150 percent of the federal poverty level.
• Able to live in a community with program services.
• Actively receiving Medicaid or Medicaid-eligible if discharged from a state hospital.
Three eligibility groups:
• Long-term psychiatric hospitalization:
Three or more cumulative or consecutive years spent in an inpatient psychiatric hospital during the five years prior to the referral.
• Jail diversion:
Four arrests and two psychiatric crises during the three years prior to the referral.
• Emergency room diversion:
15 or more emergency room visits for any reason and two psychiatric crises during the three years prior to the referral.
HCBS-AMH Recovery Management
Recovery managers:
• Help identify goals, services and supports.
• Ensure services are coordinated with providers and community partners.
• Advocate on your behalf.
• Help to resolve emergencies.

DAHS -Individualized Skills and Socialization Only (Adult Day Care)
DAHS services include health, social and related support services. DAHS facilities were previously called adult day care centers.
